The Children’s Home
Maranatha Faith Assemblies has set up two Children homes; Komotobo (Kuria East Constituency, Migori County) and Lwala (Bondo Constituency, Homa Bay County). Over 100 young boys and girls are currently being accommodated in the two homes. Among them are abandoned and orphan boys and girls, mentally retarded and physically disabled, as well as for the shelter-less and helpless children living in these exclusive homes. The homes are designed to address the educational, physical, psychological, and social needs of the selected children, while providing a safe and structured environment where the young people feel free to thrive and realize their full potential. The objectives of the homes include guaranteeing regular school attendance, monitoring proper dietary intake, providing engaging activities geared toward self-sufficiency and teamwork, creating opportunities for community involvement and growth, and providing an emotional and psychological support system.
